Kelvin Balcombe completed in undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in economics and the University of Auckland, before completing his PhD at the University of London. He worked at Wye College then Imperial College (University of London) from 1990 to 2006 before joining the University of Reading in 2006. He is currently a Professor of Applied Econometrics at the University of Reading and has a particular interest in Bayesian inference. Kelvin’s applied interests span a wide range of applied topics including environmental valuation, food and agricultural economics and commodity prices.
