Sasha Maher

Sasha Maher joined Motu Research as an Affiliate in May 2023. She works with Catherine Leining on environmental issues.

She holds a PhD in Anthropology and Management from the University of Auckland and is currently Lecturer and Sustainability Subject Lead at the Faculty for Business and Economics. 

Sasha has over 10 years industry experience in business development, policy, strategy, and sustainability.

Sasha also recently worked as climate change advisor for the Environmental Defence Society.

Her research interests are climate leadership, risk/disclosure, insurance, and the interface between the public and private sector in climate change policy.
